Hurricane Erin Update – Important Guest Information
Dare County is currently under a Tropical Storm Watch and State of Emergency.
- Hatteras Island is under a mandatory evacuation, but this does not include the areas we service.
- We expect storm impacts including storm surge, dangerous surf/rip currents (no swimming), high winds, and heavy rain.
We kindly ask guests to assist with the following precautions, if willing and able:
- Secure and lock all windows and doors.
- Bring lightweight items inside or secure them outside.
- Strap hot tub covers tightly.
- Move trash cans under the house when not at the street.
Trash Collection (Nags Head Only)
The Blue Route will operate one day early, with collection on Wednesday morning instead of Thursday. Please roll trash cans out this evening. If you have roll-out service (see the sticker on your can), please ensure cans are accessible and not blocked by vehicles.

Guests of 4x4 Carova Beaches
Currituck County has declared a local State of Emergency and ordered a mandatory evacuation for the Off-Road Area of Corolla, effective at 9:00 am on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Please see the following statement from Currituck County Emergency Management:
